Early Lead For MICDS Seals Fate For Clayton Greyhounds Varsity

Clayton Greyhounds Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 20-5 loss to MICDS on Friday. MICDS scored on a single by Barr and a groundout by Pulos in the first inning.

The Clayton Greyhounds Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of MICDS, giving up 20 runs.

In the first inning, MICDS got their offense started when Barr singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

MICDS scored seven runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by MICDS was led by Moody, Kohler, Andrew, Lons, and Sallee, all driving in runs in the inning.
Pulos led things off on the hill for MICDS. He allowed five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six.

Tyler Sucher was on the pitcher’s mound for Clayton Greyhounds Varsity. He allowed ten hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. William Laakko and Mac Redohl entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
