Clayton Greyhounds Varsity Defeats McCluer North Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, Clayton Greyhounds Varsity defeated McCluer North 13-3 on Monday. McCluer North’s big inning was driven by a triple by #5, a groundout by #3, and a double by #2.

Clayton Greyhounds Varsity secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. The rally was led by singles by Zach Wilson, William Laakko, and Tyler Sucher, a walk by Blake Bax, an error on a ball put in play by Leo Goodfriend, and a double by Ned Thompson.

Clayton Greyhounds Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Sucher drove in two when he singled.

Clayton Greyhounds Varsity notched nine runs in the second inning. Clayton Greyhounds Varsity’s offense in the inning came from singles by Wilson, Laakko, and Sucher, a walk by Bax, an error on a ball put in play by Goodfriend, and a double by Thompson.
