Clayton Greyhounds Varsity Defeats McCluer North Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, Clayton Greyhounds Varsity defeated McCluer North 13-3 on Monday. McCluer North’s big inning was driven by a triple by #5, a groundout by #3, and a double by #2.
Clayton Greyhounds Varsity secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. The rally was led by singles by Zach Wilson, William Laakko, and Tyler Sucher, a walk by Blake Bax, an error on a ball put in play by Leo Goodfriend, and a double by Ned Thompson.
Clayton Greyhounds Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Sucher drove in two when he singled.
