Multiple Teams · Track – A Note from Coach Brechin – 4/29/19

The 86th Annual Marion Freeman Track Invitational went off without a hitch.

It also SENIOR NIGHT as we celebrated the class of 2019.

In the days leading up to our meet we had to make the difficult decision to go to a 1 day meet due to the weather.   However, it all worked out for everyone and we were able to finish the entire meet in just one night.

Our Clayton Track program did very well in many events and our athletes are starting to show what they are going to do in our Conference Meet this week.

With our times and performances from the Marion Freeman we are now favored in many events for conference. We are starting to perform at our best at the right time.

We have had many meets in the month of April but it is all starting to pay off with our teams scores.

The Marion Freeman Meet was a great warm up to what we will see at Districts, Sectionals, and State events.

Looking at scores through the state it has become apparent that we will have many athletes that can represent Clayton High School in Districts, Sectionals, and the State Competition.

We still have a lot of work to do but our athletes are ready and willing to put in the work to represent us at their best.

Next up is our Conference Meet at Affton High School.

Monday – Boys and Girls Long Jump, Boys and Girls Javelin, Boys High Jump, and Pole Vault.

Tuesday – We will run the rest of the meet.
