Girls Junior Varsity Field Hockey, Girls Varsity Field Hockey · Field Hockey – St. Louis Club Teams

Field Hockey Parents and Players,
For those of you wondering about club field hockey, there are two clubs available in the area, Gateway Field Hockey. Both clubs are great and have different things to offer. If your daughter is interested in playing club, their websites are listed below. If you have any questions about which one is better for your daughter we are happy to talk to you about it.
If they are interested, Aim hosts an indoor league that the girls can play in. They simply register online as a team and all get to play together one night a week starting in January. Aim plays slightly different in the indoor season, teaching a different game of hockey- true indoor. They compete at indoor tournaments and focus on the game of indoor- which for those who are unsure, is a completely different game than outdoor. League and indoor are played at the Center of St. Louis in the Affton area.  They also have their spring season that is held out at SportPort in Maryland Heights.
If you are interested in Gateway, they teach the basics of outdoor hockey during indoor season inside at their facility. They focus on the tactical piece of field hockey. They do not have an indoor league but they do host an outdoor league in the spring. They play spring hockey out at SportPort in Maryland Heights.
If the girls are interested in playing club, Christina and I think it is a great opportunity to grow in a great sport. If they aren’t 100% dedicated to playing club (which is totally ok- we understand school and other sports and family life are important too!) Christina and I would love for the girls to play in both teams leagues (one in the winter (Aim) and one in the spring (Gateway)) and this way the girls get to play together.
I know this is a lot of information, but please do not hesitate to email me or Christina about this and we are happy to help find the best fit for your daughter!
Thanks again for all of the support and help night and throughout the season! It has definitely been a fun season!
